Well, I guess I’ve been painting or drawing pretty much as long as I can remember. According to my Mom I started real young, drawing on the walls, doors, cabinets any surface that I could find, using a pen, pencil, crayon, her lipstick or whatever could find to make my mark. No crib, bedroom wall, or surface was safe from my creative bursts of youth!

I love to paint....I love people, music, nature, animals, newly discovered locations. So, naturally I love to paint them! I think that creativity releases you. Getting lost in my paintings transforms me to another place. To me, it's like building a dream through the bristles of the brush. Sometimes I paint plein air, which is painting on site outdoors. Sometimes, I paint from reference photos or memories me and my gal gather in our travels. Or sometimes the piece is a bit of my soul, a window of my imagination! No matter where the input comes from, I try to make sure the output is fun. donnysart.com
